We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out -- Ray Bradbury

Snowflake Bentley
As it appears that spring is not quite ready to spring, we have spent some time looking at the life of Wilson (Snowflake) Bentley and his stunning photographs of snow.
The poems created with Bentley's life and art in mind are lovely!
Other people, Thought, Wilson was, Crazy, Waiting in, The bitter cold, But no, Wilson was, A leader, To, The world, Who showed us, To do, What we want, Have our, Dreams, Come true, Keep persisting.
Isolated Where am I? I’m in an isolated Blizzard until spring Comes with yet Not a soul in sight. I am dreading what is to come As winter fades and spring blossoms As I turn to a trickle of Dirty water. One measly snow flake. How can I make a difference?
Falling One, Out of more, Than imaginable, Being pushed, By the unseen force, Of wind, Across the, Cloudy sky, Having a destiny Put out there for you, No one cares about you, Only you and your family together, Let me be the last one down Let me fall on the top, Of that white blanket You think, Drifting closer to the ground. -Eli

I rose up From My dirty clump of Earth. A single speck of Dust is in a Very wet cloud. Water poured onto Me and froze. I was now a Snowflake. I fell, Branches twisting Twirling And t m l n u b i g. I finally landed on a course Surface. I hear it Bark As I Melt Away… WA

ReplyDeleteWilson Bentley,
Was a hard worker
He never gave up,
He was one special man,
He is now a snow angel
It’s Gone
ReplyDeleteMy life,
My life is short,
Down,
Down,
Down I go,
Landing softly,
On a thin blanket of snow,
You see,
Its over,
Its come,
And it’s gone.

Isolated
ReplyDeleteWhere am I?
I’m in an isolated
Blizzard until spring
Comes with yet
Not a soul in sight.
I am dreading what is to come
As winter fades and spring blossoms
As I turn to a trickle of
Dirty water.
One measly snow flake.
How can I make a difference?

Falling
ReplyDeleteOne,
Out of more,
Than imaginable,
Being pushed,
By the unseen force,
Of wind,
Across the,
Cloudy sky,
Having a destiny
Put out there for you,
No one cares about you,
Only you and your family together,
Let me be the last one down
Let me fall on the top,
Of that white blanket
You think,
Drifting closer to the ground.

Try Not To Fall
ReplyDeleteI hope,
I won’t fall,
Fall to the ground,
Because I,
Don’t want,
To become,

ReplyDeleteNothing,
Alike,
Even though,
We are,
All the same,
We fall all together,
In one,
But we glide,
Silently by ourselves,
We land on the ground,
Exactly the same,
Yet we all land,
At a different angle,
We all look at the world the same,
Big, Scary, Mysterious,
But we all,
Have different thoughts,
About what is really out there,
We all know,
We will land,
But we all have,
Different hopes and dreams,
About what will happen,
We all have,
The same words,
Stored in our brains,
But each of us,
Use them differently,
But we know,
That we are,
Nothing,
Alike,
Even though,
We are,
All the same.
